Tips for Basic File
Management
- Save your work often
in folders labeled by topic to keep documents organized.
- When you submit an
electronic assignment to an instructor, always save a copy of
your work on your own computer.
- Save your most important
files on a back-up disk as well as on your hard drive so that
you can always have backup copies.
- Delete old copies
of documents or "label" them as an old version by listing
the date after the file name.
