Accessibility Information
Students with Disabilities
The WashingtonOnline web site and classrooms follow WC3 Section 508 Web Accessibility guidelines for universal access. If you have a disability that requires accommodation, you must register through a college campus and follow the procedures of that college for accommodation. Instructors will accommodate students with disabilities when proper documentation is received from the college office.
The Disabled Student Services offices of the Washington community & technical colleges strive to ensure equal access to educational programs and services to people with disabilities and to improve the campus community's understanding of diversity issues. Contact your college for more specific information using the 'Colleges' Dropdown list at the top of the page.
ANGEL Accessibility Features
The ANGEL learning management suite meets the level one requirements of Section 508 of the United States Rehabilitation Act throughout the core system. ANGEL includes an Accessibility Wizard that students and faculty can use to create profiles that address personal needs. ANGEL also supports the Accessibility for Learner Information Packages (ACCLIP) specification, which makes it possible to import existing profiles from other systems into an ANGEL profile.
To use ANGEL’s Accessibility Menu, log on to ANGEL and click the 508 Accessibility icon, which is located in the lower left-hand corner of the ANGEL home page. From the Accessibility Menu (see below), you can either create profiles with ANGEL’s Accessibility Wizard or you can add profiles to ANGEL by uploading ACCLIP files.
